Military Spouse Friday Fill-in

It's Friday and time for another MilSpouse Friday fill in. Join the fun over at Wife of a Sailors blog.

Since most if the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?
Thankfully it hasn't been bad here! It rained on Tuesday, we had some flurries on Wednesday and yesterday was sunny but cold. It was nice to see the sun, but I am SO ready for summer! This is a huge change from being in San Diego and it definitely makes me want to go back!

What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?
HA! I am the last person who should be giving advice on money. If I were to give any advice about money in general it would be to SAY NO to student loans! They will bite you in the ass in the future. To save money we move it to another account where we can't spend it. We also have a written budget that we (try...really hard to) stick to.

What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned??
My favorite vehicle I have ever owned would have to my first car. It was a 1996 2 door Honda Civic. I got it when I was a junior in high school and I LOVED that car! I had to leave it behind when I moved to California. Since I left that car behind I have driven a '97 Saturn which was junk and I now drive my grand fathers 2000 Mercury Sable. It's brown...and ugly.

What is a question you’d like to see asked in a future fill-in?
If you could still have your spouse/significant other and your family, but take the military life out of it...would you?

Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if….

when your car or sink break and you simply grab the tools and fix it. No men required.  OR - when your husband has to go away for week you are happy because a week beats the hell out of another 6-12 month deployment.

  1. "No men required." <3 Love it! haha. It's so true tho. Even when the hubby is home, I'll go ahead and fix it myself. :)
